Tragedy struck after a pastor drowned while baptizing his church members in the river at Blood River village in Seshego outside Polokwane in South Africa.
It was gathered that the pastor entered the flooded river and was swept away.The church members who were about to be baptized, were left reeling from shock as they watched helplessly as the head of their church was swept away by the raging tides.
Residents of the area believe the river is possessed with evil spirits.
Police officers were called to the scene and the body of the deceased pastor has been recovered.
It took the concerted efforts of a team of expert divers to be able to retrieve the body. Local authorities warned people against foraying into the river especially when it was full.
