Angry President Uhuru Kenyatta has rubbished the Supreme Court ruling.
Speaking hours after the historic ruling, angry Uhuru has maintained that the will of the people cannot be overturned by 'six people.'
"Six people have decided to go against the will of the people," Uhuru has said in a televised address to the nation.
He added: "The fate of 40 million Kenyans cannot be determined by six people. Kenyans will decide, that is the nature of democracy. However, we respect the decision by the court."
Speaking from State House in Nairobi, Mr Kenyatta has called on Kenyans to maintain peace ahead of the elections slated in the next 60 days.
Mr Kenyatta has maintained that his Jubilee Party holds a majority of the Senate and Gubernatorial positions and said that he will be going for the second round slated for two months from today.
