How do you make one of Dr. Pimple Pippers cyst pops even more suspenseful? Channel Macgyver. For those of you (like Dr. Pimple Poppers assistant, apparently) too young to recall the 80s action show starring Richard Dean Anderson, its titular hero was known for improvising on the fly using everyday objects to get himself out of a jam.
Thats precisely the energy that Dr. Pimple Popper-aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD-brings to her latest procedure in a new YouTube video.
In the video, Dr. Lee is performing what appears to be a typical cyst extraction. She uses her coring tool to hole-punch her way in to the cyst, then squeezes out its gunky, chunky contents. Delicious. After that super-juicy extraction, the Macgyvering occurs while Dr. Lee goes about the business of stitching her patient back up. (It's a little eerie to see the perfectly-circular hole left by the coring tool!)
"MacGyver would have extracted his own cyst with a Swiss Army Knife," one commenter pointed out. (Thank you, Lee, for, uh, not doing this.)
"You know things are gonna be good when it starts with a punch," another fan wrote.
Check out the clever stitching work (not to mention the juicy, juicy extraction) right here:
