So when DJ Pauly D and Vinny Guadagino sat down in the Mens Health studio for an episode of our Disgustingly Healthy series, we had to ask them the burning question: Did anyone on the cast of Jersey Shore use steroids?
The boys, who have a new dating show on MTV, Double Shot at Love , had some fun with the question.
"Define steroids," DJ Pauly D said, laughing.
"Did anyone on The Jersey Shore NOT use steroids?" Vinny quipped. "Thats the question!"
Pauly took the joke even further. "They gave it to us when we signed on! In Jersey when you go to the beach, they inject you... Im kidding! Im kidding!"
Vinny stopped laughing for a moment to give a more serious answer, but he still managed to get some good-natured ribbing at another one of their former cast mates. "I didnt [take steroids], but I cant speak for everyone else. Im going to plead the fifth on that. Ive never seen anything being done myself. We dont like shoot each other up-but Ronnie did look a little suspect."
Vinny and DJ Pauly D were having a laugh with the question, but they're not fessing up either way. They clearly do embrace the anything goes culture that made the original show a hit-which is probably a big reason why people think members of the cast juiced up before GTL.
The truth is, well likely never know if the cast used steroids behind the scenes of the show, but if they did... it definitely happened in the duck phone room.
