Smashing a piece of wedding cake in a spouse's face- especially if it isn't planned and the couple aren't the playful sort, can show a lack of communication or disrespect to your partner's wishes.

2. Lack of excitement about the wedding

When the couple or one of the spouses shows a lack of enthusiasm for the wedding, it's a bad sign. The wedding can cause extra tension as it can be just a party to pacify the S/O.

Usually a wedding is a mutual affair, where both parties get to decide on various aspects and have the parts they each are looking forward to.
