Food Network star Ree Drummond-a.k.a. the Pioneer Woman-is known for her indulgent (sometimes carb-heavy) recipes. But apparently, after a stint on the keto diet , Ree's now part of the low-carb game.

In an interview with People , Ree talked about going keto for a while last summer. "Last summer, I kind of dove into the keto [diet] world and enjoyed it," she said. "It was a good exercise."

Ree's not on the keto diet anymore (she said she's "settled back into a more sustainable, realistic way of eating"), but that keto experience helped shape her new book, The New Frontier, which will hit shelves October 22.

Ree said The New Frontier-her sixth (!!!) cookbook-is "not a keto cookbook or a low-carb cookbook." Instead, it's filled with "suggestions for how to lighten up an otherwise really carb-heavy dish," she said. "Its been really fun to come up with versions of really delicious dishes that you can take a few steps to make them lower in carbs."

Ree even took to Instagram to joke about her new kind-of-low-carb, kind-of-high-carb cookbook. "My low-carb cookbook will be out October 22," she wrote. "And whats super cool is that my high-carb cookbook will be out the exact same day!"

And to make it convenient for you, I put the two cookbooks inside the same cover. These doughnuts are in the latter category, Im afraid. But theyre small in size, so its all good! Maybe my cookbook should be in the Psychology section. A post shared by Ree Drummond - Pioneer Woman (@thepioneerwoman) on Mar 30, 2019 at 4:21am PDT

But Ree clarified that she's not making two separate books: "And to make it convenient for you, I put the two cookbooks inside the same cover," she wrote. "These doughnuts are in the latter category, Im afraid. But theyre small in size, so its all good! Maybe my cookbook should be in the Psychology section."

Clearly the Pioneer Woman's got an "everything in moderation" viewpoint on diets that I can absolutely get behind.
