The Italian company contracted to carry out the Arror and Kimwarer dams project has issued a statement following court proceedings against Treasury CS Henry Rotich and 26 others.
Contrary to what DPP Noordin Haji reported, CMC di Ravenna's statement claims that it has co-operated with investigating authorities on the matter.
"The company is already working with the Kenyan judicial authority to settle the matter as soon as possible," the statement read in part.

The company further denied any wrongdoing on their part in the Sh19 billion deal which, according to DPP Noordin Haji, was marred with illegal procurement procedures.
"CMC and its representatives did not participate in the negotiations," the statement adds.
The DPP accused the company of inflating the cost of the project from Sh46 billion to Sh63 billion.
"The accusation would refer, in fact, to the conditions of the financing, by banks of primary international standing, of the public works contracted by Kenya to CMC," the company's statement outlined.
DPP Haji outlined that a Sh19 billion payment was made to the Italian company, where Sh11 billion was shared among bank accounts belonging to the co-conspirators.
