Deputy President William Ruto caused a stir at a church service at Great Gospel Visioners Church in Meru County when he took to the pulpit to join the choir.
DP Ruto whose love for God and attending church services is known was stole the show momentarily after leaving his seat to lead the churching in belting out gospel tunes during the service.
A video shared by Dennis Itumbi shows the DP alongside a choir leader leading a highly-charged congregation in a gospel song.
In the video, a visibly uneasy DP Ruto is seen clapping his hands and raising them in a bid to keep up with the choir leaders.
Nonetheless, his performance appeared to have energized the congregation that sang with gusto amidst cheers.
The DP who attended the church service at the end of his largely disappointing tour of Meru county that was snubbed by a host of the county’s top leadership including Governor Kiraitu Murungi.
