Four women on Wednesday fought over a body of a man they each claimed was their husband.

The three were identified as Janet Wambui, Lydia Wanjiru, Susan Wakuthii while the fourth's identity is yet to be established.

The women had made their way to Kirinyaga County Funeral Parlour to claim the body of Peter Mwangi Gichobi, who was a boda boda rider.

Gichobi died after he was involved in a road accident on Nyangati-Embu road a month ago.

Harrison Ngiria makes promises to the four women

The alleged wives were separated by police officers from Kerugoya police post who had intervened in the matter.

The mortuary had however stated that the death certificate would be given to the deceased's next of kin who was his uncle.

Reports had claimed that the 32-year-old had a son with each of the women.

Kanyekiini MCA, Harrison Ngiria, promised the enraged ladies that they would be included during the distribution of the wealth left by the man.
