Baringo Senator Gideon Moi’s wife Zahra has been re-appointed to a senior Government position.
In appointments made by President Uhuru Kenya and Cabinet Secretaries to State Corporations, Zahra Bahlewa Moi was re-appointed a Member of the Board of Tourism Research Institute where she will serve for another three years.
“In exercise of powers conferred by section 54 (I) (h) of the Tourism Act, 2011, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife re-appoints Zahra Bahlewa Moi to be a member of the Board of Tourism Research Institute for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 1st June, 2019,” said Gazette Notice No. 4362.
In other appointments, veteran politician Franklin Bett was appointed Chairman of the Agricultural Finance Corporation. Former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Kenya Investment Authority by President Uhuru.
Former Kitui Governor Julius M. Malombe was appointed Chairperson of the Kenya Water Towers Agency as former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Kenyatta National Hospital.
This is part of the changes President Uhuru Kenyatta is making in his government.
