Rejection
The leaders at the burial of Ms Wangeschi told the youth at the funeral that failed relationships were part of life and they should take it in stride.
The 25 year old was hacked to death by Naftali Kinuthia in broad daylight outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The suspect is said to have been waiting for Wangechi at the gate, armed with an axe and a knife in a sack.
Naftali Kinuthia
The suspect, Naftali Kinuthia who appeared in an Eldoret court, claims that he and Ivy were in a relationship and she rejected him.
The court directed that he be detained at Nauberi Police Station in Eldoret and be allowed to seek medical attention at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital during the period he is in custody.
The case will be mentioned again on April 30, 2019.
