The Kenyan Government has been forced to come clean on its dealings with slain Monica Kimani who was reported to be an employee of the Kenyan Embassy in Juba, South Sudan.

According to the Ministry’s spokesperson, Monica Kimani never worked at the Kenyan Embassy in Juba or any of the ministry’s institutions and they have never had such a person in their staff.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry’s statement came after earlier reports claimed she worked at the Kenyan Diplomatic Mission in Juba and she had connections with influential South Sudanese Government officials.

Her family however said that their daughter was a business person and she only managed their family business Juba.

Monica Kimani was brutally murdered shortly after she landed in Kenya from South Sudan and so far one suspect Joe Irungu has been arrested in connection with her killing.
