Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed details of a new political formation that he stated, hailing it as the political voice speaking on behalf of the people of Kenya.
In an update provided on social media, Gachagua noted that he hosted several leaders allied to the new political formation at his Wamunyoro home.
The former DP revealed that the outfit is comprised of made up of elected Governors, Senators, MPs & MCAs, as well as other leaders.
Today, I spent the day with Kenya’s Pre-Eminent Team of elected leaders in extensive consultations and exchange of ideas and views at our Wamunyoro Residence.
This team, popularly referred to as ‘Sauti Ya Mwananchi’ & currently the political voice speaking on behalf of the people of Kenya today, made up of elected Governors, Senators, MPs & MCAs, as well as other leaders, shared their views & ideas on the way forward for 2025.
Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga along with several lawmakers and politicians including Cate Waruguru, Gathoni Wamuchomba, Meja Donk, George Koimburi and Betty Maina are among the faces in the new pollical formation.
Gachagua on region's future
Gachagua exuded confidence, noting that his interaction with the leaders leaves no doubt that the future is bright for the new political outfit.

Gachagua’s Wamunyoro home has witnessed heightened political activities with politicians and leaders trooping in to meet the former DP.
He has been providing regular updates on his engagement on social media, promising to give his Mount Kenya support base a political direction.
Following his impeachment in October 2024, Gachagua teamed up with a number pf politicians and emerged as a fierce critic of President William Ruto’s administration.
