Social media personality Kasmuel McOure who became an internet sensation at the height of Gen Z-led anti-government protests in June and July 2024 has met President William Ruto with Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei celebrating the meeing and sharing lessons.
The lawmaker who was impressed with the meeting urged Gen Zs to be strategic in their quest for a better Kenya.
Alluding to Kasmuel’s transformation from a Gen Z protester to rubbing shoulders with politicians including the President and ODM leader Raila Odinga, Cherargei called for a change in approach.
He opined that the mantra of being tribeless and leaderless that was adopted at the height of the protests when government cracked down on social media personalities and Gen Zs perceived to be in the lead will not work.
According to Cherargei, politics is all about interests and Gen Zs need to learn a thing or two from Kasmuel.
To Genz what do you learn from this picture? Your mantra of tribeless, leaderless, agendaless and directionless will not work. Be strategic ! politics is about interests there is no enmity !!. Work with government of HE Ruto to push for what you championed for ! Blessed day.

Sharing a photo of Kasmuel with the Head of State, Cherargei noted that like Kasmuel, the youth should accept to work with the government for the betterment of Kenya claiming that they are not only agendaless but also directionless and this will not work.

Haronson: What that tells us is the interests of Kasmuel are not the same interests of majority of Gen Z and other folks who went to the street! The ideals we aspire to seem to fly over the likes of you really! It's great all you birds of a feather are flocking together! Makes it easier to clip y'all's wings!
Leal JP: He was in the struggle with a personal ambition which he achieved and there's no problem with that . He went alone, the struggle continues.
