Historic moment as NTV journalist reports on KTN news after media shut down

The shut down on media houses covering NASA leader Raila Odingas swearing in ceremony has forced reporters to innovate in their efforts to inform the public.

One historic moment in the profession occurred on Tuesday morning where an NTV reporter was forced to do live reporting for rival station - KTN News.

NTV political reporter Ken Mijungu covered the government's shut down of communication equipment at the Limuru terrestrial station.

Mijungu's media house, NTV is one of those that have been blocked in the free-to-air platforms.

He however went on air on KTN News where he reported on the government's affront to media freedom.

KTN News would shortly suffer the same fate as Citizen and NTV.
