NASA leader Raila Odinga appears to be enjoying the benefits of his peace deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta, given the special reception he got after landing in South Africa.

Odinga travelled to South Africa to attend the funeral of the country's respected Anti-Apartheid heroine Winnie Mandela.

At the airport in Johannesburg, the Odinga and his wife Ida were received by Ambassador Jean Kamau - Kenya's High Commissioner in South Africa.

However, Odinga's tweet informing Kenyans of his visit received widespread criticism.

A section of those who reacted raised issue with Odinga's handlers for tweeting in third-person tone.

Others made references to the issues that are yet to be settled in the aftermath of the famous handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
