Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju over the weekend faulted Nasa leader Raila Odinga for using Luo Nyanza intellects and politicians for his political endeavors.
Likening Mr Odinga to a god Mr Tuju castigated the leaders for flanking the former prime minister in events which he termed as child play.
“I sympathise with our professors who are hoping to see ugali from a mixture of soil and water,” the former journalist said at a funeral over the weekend before his speech was cut short by rowdy mourners during the burial of former US Ambassador’s mother Roselia Ogego in Rarieda on Saturday.
H added: “It is a pity they follow Raila blindly under the illusion Raila’s swearing-in as the ‘People’s President’ will yield results.”
Mr Tuju would later maintain that he would not relent in rebuking Raila’s actions as is an effort in futility, aimed at misusing the gullible followers from Luo community.
Nasa leader Raila Odinga took oath on Tuesday last week, defying calls to cancel the swearing-in.
Jubilee leaders have dismissed the oath and said President Uhuru Kenyatta was validly elected and sworn in.
But Nasa maintains that they won the August 8, 2017 election. They released alternative results, which the IEBC dismissed.
The African Union Commission, US Department of State and the European Union have also criticised Mr Odinga for taking oath.
