Fresh information of how Mumia Sugar Legal Affairs Manager Ronald Lubya was murdered has now emerged.

After an autopsy carried out by Regional government pathologist Solomon Sava, it came to light that Lubya was not shot dead as it was earlier reported.

According to Sava’s findings, the Mumias boss was brutally hit several times with a blunt object in the head, breaking his skull.

Several masked men ambushed Mr Lubya and his family at his home on Sunday night.

The gunmen made away with household goods and a family car – Toyota Harrier.

The pathologist highlighted that more details would be released on Wednesday.

At the same time, controversy has continued to mar the killing of Mr Luhya as Mumias East M Benjamin Washiali’s name has also been dragged into the mysterious killing.

A letter linking Washiali indicating that Washiali, who is affiliated with Jubilee party, tried to solicit campaign money from Mumias Sugar Company CEO Errol Johnson.

The letter dated April 13 has since gone viral on social media.

Commenting on the rather controversial case, Lugari MP Ayub Savula stated: "There is a major conflict of interest. You cannot purport to be fighting for farmers when at the same time you are demanding millions of shillings from the same company that should help the farmers".

Mr Savula asked the police to investigate the MP.

Earlier, ODM party leader Raila Odinga claimed that the Mr Lubya was shot dead after he refused to sign a deal for the illegal importation of sugar from Sudan through Uganda.

Speaking in Machakos town Odinga divulged: "It is only last year that they killed my friend Jacob Juma after he revealed a plan to assassinate me. Investigations have not been completed to date”."They have now shot and killed the Mumias Sugar secretary for objecting the signing for illegal importation of sugar from Sudan through Uganda. This is something we will not allow to continue," the former Prime Minister noted.
