Sports Cabinet Secretary Richard Echesa has reinstated Innocent Simiyu as the Kenya Sevens head coach.
This comes after mediation talks between the Ministry of Sports and Kenya Rugby Union.
In a letter, Echesa announced Simiyu's reinstatement and the ministry's resolve to pay all the pending salaries and allowances.
The Kenya Rugby Union board last week fired Simiyu after he allegedly took responsibility for players who refused to display the Brand Kenya sponsorship logo during a game in Paris earlier this month.
The sacking came after Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala canceled a Sh20 million sponsorship deal between Brand Kenya and the Kenya Rugby Union.
