<h1>Sports Cabinet Secretary Richard Echesa has reinstated Innocent Simiyu as the Kenya Sevens head coach.</h1>

<p>This comes after mediation talks between the Ministry of Sports and Kenya Rugby Union.</p>

<p>In a letter, Echesa announced Simiyu's reinstatement and the ministry's resolve to pay all the pending salaries and allowances.</p>

<p>The Kenya Rugby Union board last week fired Simiyu after he allegedly took responsibility for players who refused to display the Brand Kenya sponsorship logo during a game in Paris earlier this month.</p>

<p>The sacking came after Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala canceled a Sh20 million sponsorship deal between Brand Kenya and the Kenya Rugby Union.</p>
