On getting back home, the man allegedly took the child into a bush, where he cut off his head and foot which he hid somewhere.

When he got back home, he went to the police to report that the child was missing and while the police started investigations and mounted a search for the boy, the man's wife told the police that she suspected her husband in the disappearance of their son as he was the one who went out with the child.

The man was promptly arrested and on interrogation, he confessed that he had killed the boy, cut off his head and foot on the instruction of a native doctor who wanted to perform a money ritual for him.

The man had complained to the police that his son was missing but the boy's mother refuted the allegation, saying that he was the one who went out with the boy.

He said since that last year when their accommodation challenges started, he and his wife had not had any sexual contact which had been a burden to both of them.

He added that when they could not bear the sexual pressure any longer, he forced the door of the room open and took his wife there to have sex with her before the landlord caught them and raised alarm.

He said they did not remove anything in the house neither did they damage the property and had been pleading with the landlord but he refused.

The police alleged that the couple had committed a criminal offense by forcefully entering the place and therefore liable to the offense.

The First Lady who runs the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF), told the Tor-Tiv that the high demands made on young men seeking to marry Tiv daughters were discouraging the men who feel the women are being sold to them.

“Such high demands discourage many bachelors from even attempting to get married; the result is that many young girls cannot find husbands,” she said.

It is not known what could have caused the strange birth neither have doctors Pulse spoke to could say what could have happened but some say the woman could have been bewitched by her enemies and planted the goat in her womb in place of her baby.

She reportedly strapped the kid to her back afterward and sat on a chair behind his mother, who was busy attending to customers but after some time, the mother did not see her again when she was done with her customers.

A trader, Kemi Agboola, who explained the disappearance of the suspect said:

“Nobody knew when she (T-Girl) disappeared from the market with the baby. The mother had looked back to check on Kudus when she discovered that she had left the market with her child.

We called her number, but she didn’t pick our calls. That was when it occurred to us that she had stolen the baby.

I don’t really blame Iya Kudus. She thought the child was in a safe hand because almost everybody here knows T-Girl.

She would come to buy things here and play with us. She is from Ibadan (Oyo State) and had lived here for more than four years before she traveled some months ago.

The suspect was later arrested in Ibadan after some passengers with whom she boarded a bus en route the ancient city raised the alarm.

A resident narrated how T-Girl was arrested:

“It was said the bus had a minor accident on the way to Ibadan and the driver had to wait for some moments. As they were waiting, Kudus started crying and the passengers urged her to breastfeed him. She refused.

As the baby’s cries increased, they compelled her to breastfeed him and she reluctantly agreed. But the baby did not suck her breasts, which made the passengers to be suspicious.

After threatening to beat her up, she said she was taking the baby to her mother in Ibadan.

The passengers took her to the Yemetu Police Station in Ibadan, and she eventually confessed to having stolen the baby in Badagry.

The police in Ibadan contacted the Badagry Division and the mother and her husband traveled there to recover their child. He is two months old.”

The relieved mother who also spoke on the incident said she initially refused to give her baby to the suspect when she went to her stall in the market.

“People were playing with my baby that day when she said I should also allow her to take him, but I refused.

She asked if she had offended me and pleaded that I should let her carry him. I suddenly discovered that I didn’t see her again and people joined me to search for her to no avail.

My child was two months old that day. The woman used to come here to buy drinks and play with us. I am now with my baby.”

The police in Ibadan said the suspect gave her real name as Yetunde Awosanya, and identified herself as Alimat’s friend.

After about some months and with our landlord giving us just one week to park out of his house when we could not renew our rent, I went back to Adaugo who took me to the chief again and he insisted on sleeping with me and I had no option but to agree.

That was the beginning of my journey to this quagmire. The after sleeping with me, chief gave me money with which I used to pay our rent and lied to my husband that I got a loan from our women cooperative.

I was able to restock my shop and even expanded it and got two other shops. I was now able to travel to Dubai and China to buy goods for me shops.

I kept seeing the chief and he spoilt me silly with money and other material things and with time, I even gave Samson money to set up a business and when he asked where I got the money from, I told him I was involved in a contributory scheme.

But somewhere along the line, chief told me he was no longer comfortable with me sneaking around to see him and said he wanted to make me his third wife and I must leave my husband.

Like a sheep being led to the slaughter slab, I agreed to leave my husband and marry chief. I guess he must have hypnotized because I just packed out of my home and moved into one of chief’s houses and despite several remonstrations from my family and that of my husband and church members, I was not ready to listen to anyone.

But the scale has been lifted off my eyes after living with chief as a common-law wife for two years when he came one day and told me to vacate his house as his new wife was coming in.

I thought he was joking but he sent his boys who forcefully threw my things out of the house and told me never to come close to chief again.

Not only that, he has also closed my shops and the accounts he opened for me and I am now the greatest loser anyone can think of.

My husband and children would not have anything to do with me while my family has disowned me for bringing shame to them.

A Facebook user who is a friend of the deceased, Vera Tochi Ekezie, a native of Umunkpe Uzoagba community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, posted the sad news on her page narrating how the pretty lady <a href="http://pulse.ng/gist/gone-with-the-wind-husband-mourns-wife-who-died-during-childbirth-9-months-after-wedding-id4215803.html" id="3b8c6279-389b-5d5b-a503-f3faf2b81a9b">gave up the ghost </a>after giving birth to what would have been her first child.

According to the friend, Ekezie who was heavily pregnant at the time she got married, had been complaining of pains caused by an injection she received during labour but died a few hours later, leaving the newborn baby she just gave birth to.

After all our stress, just for you to have a glamorous traditional marriage on December 22, 2016, which was a huge success, then after, on January 11, 2017, you delivered safely and our joy was cut short few hours later.

Little did we know that death was knocking while you were complaining of severe pains where they injected you during labour.

Few hours after you have put to bed, just like that it becomes reality. OMG...your poor mom, your siblings and loved ones have been in tears.”

Punch reports that the woman had checked into the guesthouse with the boyfriend identified as Augustine Dunkwu on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at about 2.30 pm where they were said to have drunk different brands of beer before retiring to the room they had booked to have sex.

But after about 45 minutes, Dunkwu was seen hurrying out of the guesthouse by the receptionist who became suspicious and went to the room to check why he left without the woman only to meet her <a href="http://pulse.ng/gist/game-over-married-woman-dies-during-sex-with-4-chinese-workers-in-uyo-over-40k-id4195234.html" id="e653db22-0bab-5c05-9ee9-fe6ffad86c16">naked and dead on the bed</a>.

The receptionist was said to have raised an alarm and Dunkwu was chased, apprehended and handed over to policemen from the Idimu Division while the victim’s corpse was evacuated and deposited at a morgue in the state.

The owner of the guesthouse located on Jemi Alade Street in the area who was invited by the police to make statements said the suspect had attempted abandoning the corpse in the room.

“This is a public place and people come in and go out. We are not responsible for what happened.

They came in and had drinks. There were several others here that day. After they finished drinking, they went into a room.

I don’t know what happened between them; but some minutes later, he stepped out of the room and left the guesthouse.

The receptionist observed that he didn’t leave with his woman friend and when she went inside to check, she discovered that the lady was unconscious and quickly raised the alarm.

People ran after him and saw that he had already boarded a vehicle. We had to drag him down from the bus.

The incident really caused a commotion in the guesthouse as some of our customers fled. We alerted policemen, who arrested him and removed the corpse.”
