<ul><li>Elon Musk was ranked the most overrated CEO in America in a <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://fortune.com/2024/01/31/elon-musk-bob-iger-overrated-admired-ceos/">Fortune</a> survey.</li><li>The outlet asked hundreds of CEOs to rank their most overrated and underrated peers.</li><li>Musk scored 399 votes while Disney CEO Bob Iger, who came in second, received 302 votes.</li></ul>

Fortune published the survey results on Wednesday after asking hundreds of CEOs to rank their most overrated and underrated peers. Fortune did not specify exactly how many CEOs had responded to the survey.

Musk, who was also named the most overrated CEO in last year's survey, received 399 votes this year. <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ex-disney-cfo-slams-bob-iger-succession-planning-wsj-2024-1">Disney CEO Bob Iger</a>, who came in second with 302 votes.

<a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/satya-nadella-microsoft-welcomes-ai-talent-leave-open-ai-2023-11">Microsoft chief Satya Nadella</a> was ranked the most underrated CEO, receiving 274 votes. Nadella has held the title for eight consecutive years.

Musk maintains a busy schedule running multiple companies, from electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to the rocket company SpaceX.

In 2022, Musk purchased the social media platform Twitter, which he later renamed X.

While Musk has been hailed for revolutionizing the electric vehicle and commercial space industries, the billionaire has also been <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-spacex-starship-humans-mars-mission-2026-experts-question-2021-2">criticised for setting overly ambitious targets</a>.

Musk has repeatedly pushed back SpaceX's timeline for sending humans to Mars. In 2017, Musk claimed that SpaceX would <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-spacex-mars-plan-timeline-2018-10#2022-launch-two-missions-to-mars-full-of-cargo-and-supplies-but-no-people-5">send its first crewed mission to Mars in 2024</a>.

Then, in 2021, Musk pushed the projected date to 2026. He later told a user on X in 2022 that people would probably reach Mars in 2029.

Elon Musk has been judged by his peers, and the verdict will probably not make him very happy. A survey of hundreds of business executives conducted by Fortune just ranked Musk as America's most overrated CEO.

<ul><li>IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva says AI will impact roughly 40% of global employment.</li><li>She expects advanced economies to be more affected than emerging markets and developing economies.</li><li>"In most scenarios, AI will likely worsen overall inequality," she wrote in a <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.imf.org/en/Blogs/Articles/2024/01/14/ai-will-transform-the-global-economy-lets-make-sure-it-benefits-humanity">blog post</a>.</li></ul>

"Advanced economies face greater risks from AI — but also more opportunities to leverage its benefits — compared with emerging market and developing economies," Georgieva wrote in a blog post on Sunday, citing the IMF's <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/Staff-Discussion-Notes/Issues/2024/01/14/Gen-AI-Artificial-Intelligence-and-the-Future-of-Work-542379?cid=bl-com-SDNEA2024001">recent analysis</a> on the subject.

This is because of AI's "ability to impact high-skilled jobs," Georgieva said. And in the case of advanced economies, some 60 percent of jobs may be affected by AI, she added.

"Roughly half the exposed jobs may benefit from AI integration, enhancing productivity. For the other half, AI applications may execute key tasks currently performed by humans, which could lower labor demand, leading to lower wages and reduced hiring," Georgieva wrote.

"In the most extreme cases, some of these jobs may disappear," she added.

In comparison, Georgieva expects emerging markets and developing economies to "face fewer immediate disruptions from AI."

Nonetheless, Georgieva called on policymakers to guard against the potential inequality and social tensions that AI might bring. She also asked that countries put in place "comprehensive social safety nets and offer retraining programs for vulnerable workers."

The IMF is not alone in sounding warning calls on AI. In March, Goldman Sachs said in a report that AI could <a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/generative-ai-chatpgt-300-million-full-time-jobs-goldman-sachs-2023-3">disrupt over 300 million jobs</a>.

<a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/college-degrees-less-important-as-ai-spreads-linkedin-vp-2023-12">LinkedIn vice president Annesh Raman</a> said in a podcast interview in November that AI would reduce the value of technical skills, making soft skills more important.

AI will affect about 40% of global jobs: IMF

<ul><li>Russia has gotten its hands on North Korean missiles and is using them on Ukraine, says White House.</li><li>National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Russia had used them in two recent attacks.</li><li>Kirby said he expects future Russian attacks to rely on North Korea's missiles.&nbsp;</li></ul>

"Our information indicates that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea recently provided Russia with ballistic missile launchers and several dozen ballistic missiles," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/press-briefings/2024/01/04/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-and-nsc-coordinator-for-strategic-communications-john-kirby-january-4-2024/">said</a> at a press conference.

Kirby told journalists that Russian forces had fired North Korea's missiles on two separate attacks on December 30 and January 2.

"We expect Russia and North Korea to learn from these launches, and we anticipate that Russia will use additional North Korean missiles to target Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and to kill innocent Ukrainian civilians," Kirby said.

North Korea is shaping up to become <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/north-korea-russia-munitions-weapons-supplier-uk-intelligence-2023-10">one of Russia's major arms suppliers</a>. The hermit kingdom has sent Russia <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/north-korea-russia-munitions-weapons-supplier-uk-intelligence-2023-10">large quantities of ammunition</a> to support the latter's invasion of Ukraine.

The UK's Ministry of Defence said in an <a href="https://twitter.com/DefenceHQ/status/1717442824927363583">intelligence dispatch</a> in October that North Korea's weapon shipments could allow it "to become one of Russia's most significant foreign arms suppliers, alongside Iran and Belarus."

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has also previously endorsed President Vladimir Putin. "We will always support the decisions of President Putin and the Russian leadership," he said <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/russians-treat-kim-jong-un-to-walrus-show-ballet-date-2023-9">when he met</a> the Russian president in September.

Interestingly, Russia isn't the only user of North Korean weapons. The Ukrainians have also been using North Korean-made rockets on the battlefield, per the <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/96e1f526-ae3d-4cff-bc37-8f9dd7d5975f">Financial Times</a>.

Ukrainian forces told the FT that a "friendly" country had "seized" the North Korean rockets from a ship, but didn't provide further details.

That said, the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ukraine-using-north-korean-rockets-against-russian-forces-2023-7">Ukrainians weren't fans of the rockets</a>, which they said were "very unreliable and do crazy things sometimes."

Nonetheless, Kirby said it was troubling that North Korea had stepped up its support for Russia.

"These North Korean ballistic missiles are capable of ranges of approximately 900 kilometers. That's about 550 miles," Kirby said at the press conference.

"This is a significant and concerning escalation in the DPRK's support for Russia," he continued.

Spears took to Instagram on Wednesday to quash <a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/britney-spears-charli-xcx-rumored-collaboration">rumors of her recording a new album</a>.

"Just so we're clear most of the news is trash!!!&nbsp;They keep saying I'm turning to random people to do a new album I will never return to the music industry !!!" Spears <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C1p-tjPPn0T/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link">wrote</a>.

But Spears says she has still been writing new songs, albeit for other artists.

"When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people," Spears wrote, adding that she'd ghostwritten over 20 songs in the past two years.

Spears has previously said that she doesn't plan on making a comeback.

Spears said in her memoir <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-woman-in-me-britney-spears-book-memoir-highlights-2023-10">'The Woman In Me'</a> that her <a href="https://www.insider.com/inside-britney-spears-conservatorship-freebritney-movement-2020-12">conservatorship</a> had been "deadly" for her music career.

"Pushing forward in my music career is not my focus at the moment," Spears wrote.

"It's time for me not to be someone who other people want; it's time to actually find myself," she continued.
