Marvel studios' current rave, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' has officially broken a worldwide box office record after it crossed the $1 billion mark.

According to reports, the film hit the milestone on Sunday, making it the first film released amid Covid to reach cross the mark amid the pandemic just two weeks after its release. The Spidey flick is also the third-fastest title ever to $1B global, following 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame'.&nbsp;

&nbsp;Loukman Ali's viral feature film 'The Girl in the Yellow Jumper' has been confirmed for a Netflix release.

The Ugandan film which made headlines in 2020 after what fans expected was the original version of the film leaked days to its premiere, will debut on the streamer on Christmas day.

Produced and directed by Ali, the 2020 thriller follows the story of a man who escapes a hostage situation and returns home with a story to tell. It stars Rehema Nanfuka, Philip Luswata, Michael Wawuyo Jr., Michael Wawuyo, Gladys Oyenbot and Maurice Kirya.

Originally set for theatrical release in Kampala in April 2020, 'The Girl in the Yellow Jumper' was forced on hold due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Shortly after its delayed release, the film's production company announced an online premiere and days to the scheduled premiere, it supposedly leaked on YouTube.

Unfortunately for eager fans, the leak turned out to be a prank as Ali released a version of trailer clips tagging it the film's leaked version.

It appears that the next James Bond might identify as gender neutral or non-binary. According to reports, one of the franchise's producers Barbara Broccoli recently opened up about the possibility of a character who identifies as neither male nor female.

Broccoli reportedly made the revelation during a podcast session focused on the search to replace Daniel Craig whose contract recently wrapped up after five films including 'No Time To Die'.

When asked if she thought 007 would always be male, she replied: 'I do, because I don't think that we should be making films where women are playing men.&nbsp;I think we should be making more films about women. I think Bond will be a man."

The host suggested: "Non-binary, perhaps, maybe one day" to which Broccoli replied: "Who knows? I mean, I think it's open. We just have to find the right actor."

Broccoli, who controls the 007 franchise through her Eon Production company, also hinted on the next Bond not being white, adding: "We want the actor to be British… and British, as we know, can be many things."

Following Craig's exit, fans have led conversations online on who the next Bond actor could be. Names linked to who might possibly play the next Bond include Idris Elba, 'Bridgerton' star Rege-Jean Page and 'Mad Max' star Tom Hardy.&nbsp;

The three-part series titled 'Let The World See' will follow the story of Mamie Till-Mobley's torturous path to getting justice for son, Emmett Till, a 14-year-old African American who was lynched to death.

The project will be ABC’s second contribution to the Till family, following another limited series 'Women of the Movement', which will also debut on January 6.

The special limited docuseries will reportedly also focus on the civil rights movement that followed after Till-Mobley stood up for her son after his gruesome murder in 1955.&nbsp;

“'Let The World See' is a fresh and deep examination of Ms. Mamie Till-Mobley’s fight to bring her son’s body home to Chicago and her pivotal yet heartbreaking decision to have an open-casket funeral for the public to see, which ultimately served as a turning point for the civil rights movement,” ABC writes.

The series executive produced by Jay-Z and produced by Smith via his Westbrook studios, will feature real accounts from Till’s family including interviews with his cousins, a witness of the abduction, activists, FBI agents, lawyers, and more.

Grammy-nominated producer Salaam Remi will compose an original soundtrack that will be played over interviews, footage, and other features of the series.

&nbsp;The three-part documentary series will centre on Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Till-Mobley’s and her quest for justice.

Hollywood actor, Alec Baldwin has denied pulling the trigger of the prop gun that killed Ukrainian filmmaker Halyna Hutchins.

Baldwin in his first sit-down interview post the tragic accident on the set of his film 'Rust' in October, denied pulling the trigger as originally reported.

"I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them. Never," he said amid tears in a clip from an ABC News interview. He further claimed that he had no idea how a live bullet arrived on the set.

“Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property,” Baldwin added.

The interview marks the first time Baldwin has spoken about the incident on camera, except for a brief interview he gave to TMZ in October, in a bid to stop the paparazzi from following him and his family.

In that appearance, he described the incident as a "one in a trillion episode" and said accidents of its nature very rarely happened on film sets.

Hutchins was reportedly shot and killed as Baldwin rehearsed with what he believed to be a "cold" - or safe - gun on the set of his western film 'Rust in New Mexico.

Hutchins was flown to hospital by helicopter after the shooting but later died of her injuries. Director Joel Souza, 48, was also injured.

North Korea is reportedly taking extreme measures to punish people who distribute or watch Netflix's hit show 'Squid Game'.

According to Radio Free Asia, the country has sentenced a man to death for smuggling and selling copies of the South Korean dystopian series in the country. A high schooler has also been sentenced to life imprisonment for buying a drive containing the show.

Six other high schoolers who watched the series also got five years of hard labour while their supervisors, teachers and school administrators have been fired.

"This all started last week when a high school student secretly bought a USB flash drive containing the South Korean drama Squid Game and watched it with one of his best friends in class," a law enforcement source in North Hamgyong province told the RFA.&nbsp;"The friend told several other students, who became interested, and they shared the flash drive with them."

This will reportedly be the first time the reclusive country is taking such harsh measures on minors under its laws penalizing the distribution of films from South Korea, US among others.

The dystopian series directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, took the internet by storm in September after premiering on Netflix to instant acclaim. It follows the story of 456 heavily indebted people competing for 45.6 billion won ($38.3 million) of prize money in survival games.

It appears that a lawsuit isn't enough to soil the creative romance between Scarlett Johansson and Disney as reports say the actress and filmmaker is currently working on a top secret Marvel project.

A second season of 'Squid Game' is coming! Months after leaving fans in the dark on the future of his hit series 'Squid Game', Director Hwang Dong-hyuk finally has some news.

Without giving too much away, the show creator in a recent interview confirmed plans to create the much anticipated sequel with Netflix.

“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season," Hwang said. "So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season."

The filmmaker who was interviewed alongside the show's lead star, Lee Jung-jae, also confirmed that he will be returning as Gi-Hun to "do something for the world.”

This will be the first time Hwang will publicly announce a sequel. The filmmaker once revealed in an exclusive interview with Variety that he had no developed plans for a second season.

&nbsp;"I don't have well-developed plans for Squid Game 2. It is quite tiring just thinking about it. But if I were to do it, I would certainly not do it alone. I'd consider using a writers room and would want multiple experienced directors.&nbsp;

"It took me six months to write and rewrite the first two episodes. Then I consulted verbally with friends, and picked up clues for improvements through my own pitching and from their responses."

The nine-episode thriller series directed by Hwang premiered to instant acclaim on September 17. Tyler Perry has confirmed that scripting is officially underway for the anticipated second sequel to 90s hit comedy film 'Sister Act'.

“The script is being written, and I am the producer on it — not directing. We brought on an incredible director [Tim Federle] and Whoopi’s really excited. US former First Lady, Michelle Obama will appear in an episode of ABC's top-rated comedy show 'Black-ish'.

The show's producers confirmed the news on their social media platforms last Thursday, saying that the former Flotus will feature in the eighth and final season. Obama will play herself, but other details of her appearance are yet to be disclosed.

"I’ve long been a fan of Black-ish‘s wit and all-around brilliance, and it was such a thrill to join in for an episode,” Obama wrote on her socials. "I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

'Squid Game' director, Hwang Dong-hyuk has fired back at basketball champion Lebron James over a comment he made about the show earlier this month.

In a recently surfaced video filmed on October 12, 2021, James was caught in a chat expressing his disappointment at the series' ending.

“Yeah, I didn’t like the ending though. I know they start it off with a season two but, like, get on the f****** flight and go see your daughter, Bro. Like what are you doing,” James said.

Well, it appears the series' director felt ticked off by the viral video and expressed his dissatisfaction in an interview with The Guardian.

“Have you seen Space Jam 2? LeBron James is cool and can say what he wants. I respect that. I’m very thankful he watched the whole series. But I wouldn’t change my ending.

“That’s my ending. If he has his own ending that would satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. I’ll check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending," he added.

The Korean filmmaker also revealed in the interview that he was already in talks with streaming giant, Netflix following the massive success of the first show.

“Of course there is talk. That’s inevitable because it’s been such a success. I am considering it. I have a very high-level picture in my mind, but I’m not going to work on it straight away. There’s a film I really want to make. I’m thinking about which to do first."

The Korean-language show took the world by storm in September with Netflix confirming that over 111 million household views.

Filmmaker Jeymes Samuel's new feature film 'The Harder They Fall' sets out to challenge viewers' perception of the genre with an all-Black cast based on characters who existed in the history.

Pulse recently caught up with Hollywood stars, Idris Elba and Regina Hall, co-stars on the newly debuted feature film and the actors opened up on playing outlaws Rufus Buck and Treacherous Trudy.

Are you both fans of Westerns?

Idris Elba: I can tell you now, Regina is not a fan of Westerns. I'm just going to say that cause I know it's tough but I am though. I like the genre, the vibes. It's very sought of macho-driven characters with high intensity drama so I do like Westerns.

Regina King: Westerns were definitely a nap for me but with Westerns like ‘The Harder They Fall’, I would probably love Westerns.

Black representation is barely explored in Westerns. Did this inspire you to work on the project?

Regina King: Yeah, I mean definitely that had something to do with it but I'll take it a step further. The Blackness is always good, it's always something to celebrate. Something to want to be a part of but I have to be honest. If Jeymes' vision of the story was anything like I had seen before, I might have been like thank you yeah alright tell Idris I said what's up. But you know when I met Jeymes and he painted for me his vision, I was like I'm here for it.

Idris Elba: I've known Jeymes for a long time and I've known that he wanted to do this. We're friends so yeah there was no version of me not doing this movie and I really feel that what we will see now is the door open to how Westerns or in fact any other genre of film is told because you can put a different lens on it.

For example, we have seen Bridgeton recently and it shows the sort of Victorian times but it had Black people in it and that has now opened up to sort of lens for period pieces. Why can't we see a multiracial cast in this type of genre type pieces? I'm happy that this has been made. I think it opens the door for people.

What was one exciting thing you both had to learn to do to play your characters?

Idris Elba: We both had to learn to ride horses but I'm allergic to horses so as excited as I was about being a Western, I had tears in my eyes and in my throat...I remember there was one old man, he was an extra and he said 'Idris you got to drink some pickle juice, you'll be alright' and it worked.

'The Harder They Fall' is currently streaming in Nigerian cinemas but will premiere on streaming platform on November 3, 2021.

Sylvester Stallone has confirmed his exit from 'The Expendables' franchise, having just completed the fourth film which will be his final.

Stallone in an Instagram video on Friday made the announcement saying; "This will be my last day, I'm enjoying it, but it's always bittersweet when something you've been so attached to – I guess since, well now it's been about 12 years – and ready to pass the baton on to Jason [Statham] in his capable hands.”

"The greatest thing is being able to provide films that are somewhat entertaining and maybe there's a little message in there because what I try to convey in my successful films is the human touch. Not so much the action, the action is self-evident, but it's just relating to the audience in a way that they can identify with whatever the mission is with the characters at hand... Just providing some escapism and hoping there's a little something extra in there.”

The series follows the titular Expendables, a group of elite mercenaries led by Barney Ross (Stallone) overthrowing a Latin American tyrant, pursuing vengeance against a rival mercenary, and dealing with a violent arms dealer have all been among the group's assignments.

However, plot details for the fourth film are being kept under wraps at moment.

The first 'The Expendables' film released in 2010 followed by sequels in 2012 and 2014.

Along with Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture appeared in all three films, and the series has also had cameos from Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, and Harrison Ford.

Megan Fox, Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent and Tony Jaa will join the cast of 'The Expendables 4'. The new installment is scheduled to hit theaters in 2022.

According to the streaming giant in a tweet on Tuesday, the series had hit 111 million worldwide views knocking off 2020 series 'Bridgerton' with its record of N82 million views.

It is noteworthy to add that Netflix views are recorded per two minutes of view which is long enough to imply the choice was intentional.

The show creator, writer and director, Hwang Dong-hyuk recently spoke to The Korean Times about the challenges he encountered in funding the blockbuster drama and how it took ten years to get a nod from Netflix.

"After about 12 years, the world has changed into a place where such peculiar, violent survival stories are actually welcomed," Dong-hyuk shared.

Originally titled 'Round Six' the project got greenlighted by the streaming platform in 2019.

The nine-episode series has garnered quite the buzz since it premiered in September. Recently it was reported that South Korea was suing Netflix owing to the streamer causing a traffic surge.

The long anticipated season finale is finally here after 10 weeks of an arguably entertaining show with finalists Whitemoney, Liquorose, Angel, Cross and Pere.

Made Kuti kicked off the finale show with a pack-punching performance from the fan park in Lekki. Interestingly, the center was filled with a physical audience, a first since the pandemic. The pride of the Gypsies is many things but an ordinary guy on screen. From 'Conan the Barbarian' to 'Game of Thrones' and 'Aquaman', fans have grown to love Jason Momoa for his larger than life, kick-ass roles.

Turns out the Hollywood star chose a different route in his new Netflix film 'Sweet Girl' directed by&nbsp;Brian Andrew Mendoza. In the newly released action thriller, <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/watch-jason-momoa-in-new-trailer-for-netflixs-sweet-girl/1et1s6r">Momoa stars as Ray Cooper, a girl-dad grieving the loss of his beloved wife from cancer.</a>

Momoa, in an exclusive interview with Pulse opens on why he temporarily let his superhero suit off to play a regular dad.

A girl-dad himself, Momoa says he found the role perfect as he had never (ever) played a contemporary dad struggling with the challenges of parenting and in his character's case, struggling with grief.

"I have never really played a role like this. It was a lot being in a contemporary film and being a dad to a teenager ( I haven't done that either). So, I feel like I have tackled this role, I have wanted to do this story for a number of reasons."

Jason Momoa cried! As surprising as that might sound for Aquaman or even Khal Drogo fans, 'Sweet Girl' spots some tear-jerking moments which the actor reveals took its toll but was mostly fulfilling.

"It is a pretty sad space to be in and dealing with it has been a hard thing to figure out. I mean they kinda teach you how to do it, but they don't teach you how to get over it. So, I think I am learning right now how to deal with the aftermath.

"They teach you how to do the stunts but they don't teach you how to come down off it. Your body doesn't know it is not doing this all day long. At the end of the day, your nervous system is quite fried. It's fun but it's challenging. Truth is I don't know how to recover as much as I know how to do it."

"I have always wanted to play those roles, go to those places as an actor," Momoa says on letting his vulnerability out in the film. Also being raised practically by women (his single mother and grandmother), the actor admits his character in 'Sweet Girl' allowed him express a part of himself.

'Sweet Girl' premiered on the streaming platform on August 20.
