Hollywood celebrities rarely chose regular, degular, shmegular names for their kids, most of them chose head-turning names like True, North and even Apple.
And back home, its no different. Today we look at celebrities who chose some unusual names for their kids.
1. Ladasha Belle - DJ Mo
DJ Mo and Size 8 named their daughter Ladasha Belle meaning ‘God’s beautiful gift’
2. Havila - Pitson
Pitson’s daughter’s name means ‘a place of gold’ which is taken from Genesis 2:10-11 and reads: ‘A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.’
3. Heaven - Bahati
Bahati and Diana Marua named their kid Heaven who is as beautiful as the place itself.
4. Dua - Nick Mutuma
Nick Mutuma’s adorable tot is named Dua which means ‘prayer’
5. Ricca Pokot - Pierra Makena
After 24 hours of labor, Pierra Makena welcomed her daughter Ricca Pokot whose name means ‘a peaceful ruler.’
6. Huru - Janet Mbugua
Janet and Eddie Ndichu’s son shares a birthday with Uhuru Kenyatta, October 26. We are not sure if the name Huru was inspired by his birthday mate or he was just called ‘Huru’ meaning free.
7. Kwanza - Paul Ndichu
The Ndichus seem to have a penchant for unique names as evidenced by the name ‘Kwanza’ which means ‘First’.
8. Tumiso- Wahu
Wahu and Nameless chose a Sotho name for their daughter which means ‘Praise to God’
9. Hotani - Njoki Muriithi
Tahidi High actress Mercy Muriithi and her husband Bob Muriithi chose the name ‘Hotani’ for their son. The name Hotani means ‘Victor’.
10. Keepitreal Favour and Amblessed Dydda - Eko Dyda
Gospel singer Eko Dydda’s sons go by the name Keepitreal Favour Dydda and Amblessed Wisdom Dydda.
Names that their parents Galia and Eko Dydda chose to avoid aligning them with any tribe.
