Esther Wahome is mourning the death of her dear father Evangelist William Wahome Gikonyo. The late Evangelist succumbed to cancer over the weekend.
Esther took to social media to mourn her dead dad in a post that read, “RIP my loving dad, Great revivalist, Evangelist William Wahome Gikonyo. My prophet, my ministry mentor, my spiritual cover, my music inspiration, my friend, my greatest fan, my cheerleader. You taught me the word, you taught me how to bring down strongholds in prayer, how to proclaim declare all that is my portion, you taught me music, you taught me kingdom mysteries, you taught me how to take charge spiritually, you raised a kingdom giant in me. You taught me how to possess nations, and released me to be a global minister, and true to it, I’ve ministered across the world, and before kings.”
The ‘Kuna Dawa’ singer then spoke of how bravely her father fought the scourge.
“Even as you battled cancer this year I never heard any complaint from your mouth. All you said is God is a great and good God. Yesterday the 27th of July, you were transferred to heaven immediately after I talked to you and held you for the last time, and you handed over a different mantle to me. Though I know you are in heaven, the physical and emotional pain is too much. I already miss you Baba, Baba Esther Wahome, as you preferred to be called due to the way you were proud of me, and the joy it brought you to be my father.
Rest in Paradise my dad
EV.William Wahome Gikonyo,” Esther wrote.
