KTN hires new Swahili news anchor after Mashirima Kapombe’s Exit

KTN has hired a new Swahili News Anchor days after Mashirima Kapombe was poached by Royal Media Services.

Former Kubamba Radio Presenter Fridah Mwaka has landed a new TV job with KTN and is expected to report to work next Monday.

The TV girl who was once a contestant on “The Presenter” show that used to air on KTN, will be linking up with some of her competitors on the show namely Jamal Gaddafi, Abullar Ahmed and Michelle Ngele who are also employees at the Standard Group.

Stepping stone

“I am excited to be joining the news desk as an anchor. I believe this is a stepping stone to many more good things to come. I have just signed my contract and I will report to work on Monday” said

Before accepting KTN’s offer Faridah has been hosting a Radio Show at Kubamba dubbed “Jikoni” alongside Music Producer Saint P.

Ms Mwaka is a graduate of Daystar University having pursed a Degree in Communication (Public relations and International Relations).

She also holds a diploma in mass communication from the Mombasa Aviation Institute.
