Talented Githurai girl receives recording deal

Now going by the stage moniker, Amani G, the eight-year-old internet sensation can now nurture her talents within the walls of Pine Creek Records.

Making the announcement via their social media pages, the record label promised to grow Amani’s talent to “levels unimagined”.

“We have had a number of studio sessions with Amani G and can confirm that she will grow into a force to reckon with in music. We wish her the best of luck,” they said.

Pine Creek seem to have hit the ground running as seen in the video they posted of Amani G in the studio appearing to be recording a song.

Gracious went viral after a visiting tourist known as Britt Chantel posted a video of her singing to Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire”.

The video not only caught the attention of Kenyans but Alicia Keys too took notice of the young girl, reposting the video on her Instagram.

Gracious has also been offered a scholarship to the Africa Creative Arts and Innovation College.

Other than the announcement of signing Amani, no further details have been revealed in concern to the recording deal.

Congratulations to Gracious Amani or should we say Amani G.
