Tanzanian actress and entrepreneur Jokate Mwegelo has made her first public appearance, after her singer ex-boyfriend Alikiba’s wedding in April.

Ms. Mwegelo made the appearance when she attended the 40 days celebrations for Wasafi TV producer Zamaradi Mketema’s son, King Salah.

In photos shared online by Wasafi, a happy Kidoti as some people like to call her, was seen seated among other guests and at some point she was called to address all who had attended King Salah’s 40 celebration.

Jokate Mwegelo has been out of touch with her fans since April 20, when she put up her last post on social media, a day after Alikiba had his first wedding to his wife Amina Khalef in Mombasa, Kenya.

Word went around that the Bongo movie actress was heartbroken when Alikiba chose Amina over her and that it was the reason she did not congratulate the singer, even after his second joint white wedding with his younger brother Abdu Kiba.

However, recently Alikiba’s sister Zabibu revealed that she enjoys a cordial relationship with Jokate and they still talk a lot.

“Siwezi kuzungumzia kitu chochote kibaya kuhusiana na Jokate kwa sababu ni kama dada yangu kabisa ninamheshimu na ninampenda sana halafu pia tunaongea tu vizuri hatuna shida yoyote na ni msichana anayejielewa mno,” said Zabibu.
