Celebrated Kenyan Gospel Singer Mercy Masika has impressed Kisarawe District Commissioner Jokate Mwegelo following her kind act to Tanzanians.

Ms Masika, who has been camping in Tanzania for a media tour, offered to pay medical covers for 25 people residing from Jokate’s district.

Speaking after receiving the medicals covers on behalf of the Kisarawe residents, Ms Mwegelo expressed her gratitude towards the gospel singer, saluting her for always thinking about other people.

“Najikia vizuri sana.na kwaniaba ya wana kisarawe tunasema asantee sana. Tumepata ugeni kutoka Kenya na tumefarajika sana. Naona Mercy mwenyewe ameona mwamko mzuri ndani ya Kisarawe na angependa kuwa sehemu yetu. Na tunafurahi kuona kuwa watu wanatoa na kurudisha mkono kwa jamii kupitia Kisarawe. Utimishi sehemu ya Ibada na Ibada siku zote Mungu anazidi kutubarika” said Jokate.

Ms Masika also disclosed that her act of participating in changing the life's of Kisarawe People, is out of the overwhelming love she has been receiving during her stay in Tanzania.

“I think nimebarikiwa sana kwa kupanda upendo mwingi kutoka kwa Wa Tanzania and so I felt like I should give back and be a blessing. Kwa hivyo nilipata nafasi ya kuja hapa Kisarawe kwa Dada Jokate” said Mercy Masika.

The Mwema hit maker also mentioned that the Kisarawe Commissioner has promised to attend her event dubbed Fichuka scheduled to happen in December 2, 2018.

Jokate Mwegelo is a Tanzanian actress and an entrepreneur. She is the C.E.O and brains behind the wildly successful Kidoti Loving, a fashion brand dealing mainly with hair, clothing, and accessories.

The Miss Tanzania 2006 runners-up was appointed as Kisarawe District Commissioner by President John Pombe Magufuli in July this year.
