Kenyan Movie Plan B, a romantic comedy film that was released in February 2019 won the Best East African movie Award at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCAs), that went down at Eko Hotel in Lagos Nigeria.

The film which revolves around Lisa (Sarah Hassan) who finds out she is pregnant after a drunken one night stand with Dele ( Daniel Ettim) following a nasty break up with boyfriend, beat all other movies that were nominated in the same category.

The other films were; Lost in Time (Edijoe mwaniki), Disconnect (Iman Mueke) and 94 Terror (Mulinwa Richard).

Ms Sarah who was the film's producer, took to Instagram to thank the people who supported the movie as well as the cast and crew. She also commended writer and director Dolapo ‘Lowla Dee’ Adeleke for creating an award winning masterpiece.

Celebrated actor Catherine Kamau popularly known as Kate actress who also featured in the film revealed that she loved playing Joyce in the movie and asked fans to disturb Lowla Dee for a part two of the movie.

At the 9th edition of the prestigious Kalasha awards back in November 2019, Ms Sarah won Best Lead Actress award for her role in Plan B.
