Gospel singer Pitson speaks on writing song for Githurai girl Amani

Kenyan Gospel singer Pitson has spoken on writing a song for singing Githurai girl Gracious Amani, after she landed a Sh2.5 million recording deal.

The ‘Niache niimbe’ hit maker disclosed that he was the one who wrote Amani’s first song ‘Sitasahau’ which she released a week ago.

Pitson stated that he was so much impressed by the young singer’s ability to memorize songs and he planned to work with her for many other projects to come.

He also added that he would like to have a song together with Gracious Amani in future.

Gracious Amani known to many as the ‘Singing Githurai girl’ blast into fame after a video of her singing Alicia Keys’ song ‘Girl on fire’ went viral online when a visiting tourist Britt Chantel shared it online.

The video not only caught the attention of many Kenyans but Alicia Keys too took notice of the young girl, and then reposted the video on her Instagram page.

The primary school girl’s luck did not just end there as she was offered a scholarship to the Africa Creative Arts and Innovation College.

In addition to that, Amani G received a recording deal with Pine Creek Records worth Sh2.5 million and she has since recorded her first song.
