Radio presenter Kamal Kaur has parted ways with Radio Africa Group owned radio station, East FM.

In an emotional message she shared on Twitter, Ms Kamal said that she had an amazing 12 years working at Radio Africa.

She went on to say that she had received massive support and love during the time, and she was thankful for the good times she shared with her fans, colleagues and family.

It’s been a fabulous run. Join me tomorrow for my last show on EastFMKenya from 7-10am as I hang my hat as a radio presenter for now. I’m filled with gratitude for all the love you have given me in the 12 years+ I’ve been at Radio Africa. Not just to me, but my kids and my entire family too. You’ve reached out to celebrate with me, to hold me together at my lowest times, you’ve made me laugh, you’ve loved me to no end, and I’m forever thankful for all the love and respect you’ve bestowed upon me. I look forward to your company tomorrow morning as I say my final goodbye on Kenya’s premier Asian Mix,” wrote Kamal Kaur.

The host of Kenya’s first Asian mix show in an earlier tweet had, shared with her fans that she had lost her job, a tweet that many did not believe until Saturday, when she hosted her last show.

I just lost my job. Wow. Trouble will always come in avalanches,” she said in her Thursday afternoon tweet.
