Radio Citizen Presenter Selly Kadot Amutabi is mourning the death of her grandfather Hassan Ali Omido.
Selly, who hosts Mambo Mseto alongside Mzazi Willy M Tuva, shared the sad news via her Instagram page saying “You fought well guga. You put up a good fight. Its hard to believe you are gone. Rest well with the angels’ grandpa Hassan Ali Omido. We love you. We miss you!”
The late Hassan Omido was a former City Hall nominated Councillor. In 2009, Omido was among nominated Councillors whom their term was extended by the then Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi for a period of five years.

Changes at Radio Citizen
In May Royal Media Services (RMS) owned Station Radio Citizen made changes in its programming, giving Mzazi Tuva a new co-host (Selly Kadot Amutabi) after riding solo on the show for 13 years.
Previously, Selly used to host Pambazuka, a gospel show that air from 4am to 6am. But she was replaced by Syombua Osiany.
Before Ms Osiany was shifted to the early morning show, she used to host Chapa Kazi alongside Jerida Andayi who joined that Jambo Kenya team that consists of Inspekta Mwala, Vincent Ateya and Melody Sinzore.
Selly Kadot joined Citizen Radio in January (2019) after being poached from Qwetu Radio where she used to host Baraka Za Kwetu.
