Kenyan Afro-Pop band Sauti Sol was today forced to apologise after failing to perform at the Pan-African Dance Festival in Kigali, Rwanda.
The ‘Melanin’ singers disclosed that they were also looking forward to the performance but the promoters messed them up as there was an organisational issue with the promoters of the festival.
“Our flight which was arranged by the promoters was scheduled to arrive at 9:30 pm and upon landing, we were informed that the festival was to close by 10:30 pm. Knowing this we did our best to be there on time. With our band already on stage and ready for us, unfortunately, it was announced that the festival was over and our performance must be cancelled,” the band explained in a release.
They went on to describe this incidence as disappointing but if it was up to them they would have rocked the crowd.
