Popular journalist appeals for help after going broke over elections

The journalist turned Jubilee politician is really suffering.

In February 2018, celebrated news anchor Swaleh Mdoe left many dazed after he revealed that he was swimming in debt and was willing to sell his kidney to get himself out of the financial crisis.

Now, another journalist has come forward to appeal for help after going broke after unsuccessfully vying for an MCA position at Ng’enyilel ward in William Ruto’s hometown of Turbo.

Sharon Chepchirchir a former writer with The Star Newspaper revealed that she is almost paralyzed on one leg due to the stress caused by her inability to pay those people whose services she contracted during the electioneering period.

“I’ve been having sleepless nights wondering where I will get the money. In fact, my leg is almost being paralyzed on one side.” The journalist told Nation newspaper. She also asked the Jubilee party to bail her out and consider those aspirants who fought for the party ideals despite losing.

“I know most of them are suffering in silence yet they are undergoing the same problem.” She added.
