Gymnast Wendy Waeni has finally come clean, on the alleged fight between her and comedian Jalang’o over a Sh4,500 debt.
Speaking on Citizen TVs #JKLive show, Wendy apologized to the comedian saying that she did not have control of her social media accounts, and she only heard from people that they had an online fight.
She went on to say that she does not know what happened and she hopes that, now that she had parted ways with her former manager Joe Mwangi it will not happen again, as she also apologized to anyone that might have been offended.
In the interview, Wendy Waeni called on Joe Mwangi to give her access to her social media accounts saying that she had also forgiven him.
“I’m really sorry I don’t know anything that goes in that account. Actually that story about Jalang’o I’m really sorry I don’t know what happened I just heard that we had an online fight and I hope that, that will not happen again and all protocols just endorse me, that was not the real me and anyone who has been offended through my social media accounts,” she said.
Jalang’o debt
In 2017, Wendy Waeni took to Instagram to accuse Jalang’o of stealing Sh4,500 from her.
According to Waeni, the money was meant to be payment after she performed at a show he hosted on KTN dubbed 'Jalang'o with the money'.
“Jalang’o when are you paying me Sh4500 that you an away with when I was still struggling in this industry..?? In case you have forgotten let me remind you that on that day you almost made us walk from Mombasa road to Huruma,” read Waeni’s Instagram post.
Jalang’o rubbished the allegations as false accusing Wendy’s manager Joe Mwangi of using the little girl to solicit money from celebrities.
Responding to the Instagram post Jalang’o said “I know this is not you but if those are your thoughts on the issue then I am sorry for you.”
