Since then, radio sweetheart and K24’s new Talk Central host, Kalekye Mumo has been an inspiration to so many women on their weight loss journeys. Over the last two years, Kalyeke has given very many tips on how she cut off the pounds. And it’s not in the gym.

During an interview on Standard, Kalekye stated that she works out using household items. She said, “I have incorporated body strength training under the guidance of Alvin Lee Anyumba, one of the best fitness trainers out there. We get to work out at home using household items. That is now my lifestyle. It's all about healthy living. I still got some work to do, but I am loving every minute of it.”

In just eight months, the bubbly presenter moved from a size 22 at 124Kgs to a stunning size 16, after losing 40Kgs heeding to a strict warning from the doctor.

According to the doctor, if she had continued to ignore her body, her chances of suffering life threatening blood cots would be inevitable.

In a previous interview, she revealed how her struggle for sleep, three weeks of swollen feet and her late cousin Janet Kanini’s cancer diagnosis inspired the weight loss journey that has seen her become a health junkie for the past two years.
