Goldan Kakuya on Thursday won the Margaret Kenyatta Scholarship to Brookehouse.

Kakuya who joined Kenya High School in 2018, will now join one of the most expensive schools that offer International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE).

The top candidate during the 2017 KCPE examinations scored an impressive 455 marks that enabled her to join her school of choice.

The former St Anne Junior School pupil who is in form two, will enroll for year 9 and 10 to study with children of the elite who pay a fee of approximately Sh1.1 million per term.

The school has 3 terms and the total amount for the entire year is approximately Sh3.1 million.

Kenyatta's investment in the education sector

The Kenyatta family are known to have major investments in every sector of the economy.

In the Education sector, the ruling family owns Peponi House School which is located along the Thika Superhighway on the Gicheha farm in Ruiru.

Prominent people to have attended the lavish school include: President Kenyatta's youngest son (Muhoho), as well as Royal Media Services MD Wachira Waruru's son (Waruru).

The private school has a strict fee payment policy that requires the amount to be cleared within two weeks, hence no room for fee defaulters.
