Twelve terror suspects were on Tuesday arrested at the Daadab Refugee Camp.

The suspects were apprehended during a security operation at the camp in Garissa County.

Inspector General Joseph Boinnet who confirmed the arrest, stated that one of the suspects arrested had two passports of foreign nationality.

“One of them has two New Zealand passports in different names,” remarked Boinnet.

Information about the rest of the suspects was however withheld by the police boss for unexplained reasons.

Boinnet further refused to explain on whether the criminals were connected to the January 15 terror attack on Dusit Hotel.

Insurance agent detained over Dusit attack

This arrest comes a week after the Alshabaab attack that had left 21 people dead and several injured.

Among those who passed away was a GSU officer who died during the rescue operation.

Last Thursday, the court had ruled to detain Insurance agent Zipporah Wambui Karanja for 15 days after she was arrested as a suspect over the Dusit terror attack.

Zipporah was one among the many suspects that had been arrested in connection to the 14 Riverside attack.

The agent had been claimed to have secured insurance for two vehicles that were used by the attackers.
