Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was on Thursday caught in an unguarded moment where he was repotting his tribulations to Deputy President William Ruto.

Waititu was among leaders who attended the memorial service for Kenya's founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

In the video, the embattled Governor is heard reporting to Ruto that his biggest challenges have been caused by Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and Jubilee nominated MP Maina Kamanda, who was present at the function.

"Wale watu wananilemea ni huyu (pointing at Kamanda) na Matiang'i. Kwa sababu Matiang'i na Nyoro walienda shule pamoja na nini. Lakini mimi ni mtu wa mungu (The people who have been bothering me is Kamanda and Matiang'i. Matiang'i and Nyoro went to the same school and have a history)," Waititu is heard saying.

The video does not include a response from Ruto but his laughter is audible as he adds that Waititu is a hardcore "huyu ni mtu ya mawe".

Others who were in the conversation included Majority Leaders Aden Duale (National Assembly), Kipchumba Murkomen (Senate), Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja.

Waititu has recently been in the political cold after the courts barred him from accessing his office until a corruption case against him is heard and determined.

Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro has since assumed Waititu's responsibilities.
