Kakamega County has lost yet another high-profile individual to the Covid-19 disease.

Dr Daniel Alushula passed on Friday evening in what the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board described as "Covid-19 related complications".

Dr Alushula was the Senior Orthopedic Surgeon at the Busia County Referal Hospital and also ran a recognized private practice in Kakamega County.

Among those who have sent their condolence messages is Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

"The death of Dr Daniel Alushula has robbed us a renowned Orthopedic surgeon whose medical services have saved many lives. He was a competent, diligent and humble doctor who devoted his life to saving lives and serving people. May God comfort his family during this moment of grief," the Governor conveyed.

In a span of three days the governor has been forced to send such messages to three different families.

First to the family of his Chief of Staff Robert Sumbi, then to the family of his former political competitor Mabel Muruli and lastly to the renowned surgeon.
