DPP orders immediate arrest of these 7 assembly officials

They are accused of dubious procurement of hotel services.

The Director of Public Prosecution on Thursday ordered the arrest of seven Homa Bay County Assembly officials over the misuse of money in dubious deals in the county.

In a statement to newsrooms Thursday morning, DPP Noordin Haji stated that he was convinced that the said officials misappropriated funds through fictitious and "irregular procurement of hotel services and payments to members of county assembly."

The dubious transactions, the DPP has said led to the loss of Sh26,872,278.
