I will not be flying Uhuru to the US - female captain dismisses media reports

There was a confusion....

Africas first female Dreamliner captain, Irene Koki Mutungi on Thursday morning dismissed reports that she will be flying President Uhuru Kenyatta to New York on Kenya Airways inaugural flight to the US.

Koki said that she was surprised when several media reports indicated that she will be the one commanding the flight.

According to the Captain, KQ is yet to announce pilots who will be on the first direct flight to the US. She noted that there must have been a confusion after an event she attended with US Secretary of Trade, Wilbur Ross.

"Thank you for all your kind words and congratulatory messages. I’m truly overwhelmed but KQ has not yet selected who gets to do the inaugural US flight.

Attraction is often communicated through non-verbal cues, with body language revealing more than words ever could. If you’re trying to determine whether a woman is interested in you, observing her body language can give you valuable insights.

"It was a press assumption after a media event I recently attended with the US Secretary of Trade," she said.

However, Koki noted that it will be an honour to fly the inaugural flight.

President Kenyatta is set to depart from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International airport at 11.25 pm on October 28. The plane is expected to land at John F Kennedy International Airport in New York.

Ms. Koki has flown several high profile individuals including Britain’s Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on a KQ dreamliner flight.
