Otiende Amollo responds to return of IEBC commissioners who resigned

This comes after 2 IEBC Commissioners showed up to work months after resigning

Lawyer and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has responded to the return of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Commissioners who had resigned.

In a tweet, Mr. Otiende said that their return was a violation of the law and was breaking leadership principles.

He went ahead and stated that it was also an insult to Kenyans.

“It is deeply insulting to Kenyans, gravely in breach of leadership principles, and obviously in violation of the law, for IEBC Commissioners who resigned publicly to purport to “unresign”! Above all, shows theirs was a scheme their “Master” which flopped! Shame!!” said Otiende Amollo.

IEBC Commissioners

His words came after two IEBC Commissioners Connie Nkatha and Margaret Mwachanya who had publicly announced their resignation in April made their way to their office at the Anniversary Towers.

This comes two weeks after the High court ruled that the three Commissioners’ resignation was invalid as they failed to follow the proper procedures when they stepped down.
