Kenya Urban Roads Authority’s Eng Silas Kinoti has urged motorists in a notice to use alternative roads to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
“We have no objection to the closure subject to full involvement of the traffic police who will oversee the closure,” he has said in a circular.
This year’s run will take place simultaneously with nine other towns.
In Nairobi, the run will begin at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), in Mombasa at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Sports Club Mbakari and in Mumias at Booker Academy.
Other places include the Meru Polytechnic Grounds, Kenyatta Stadium (Machakos), Kamukunji Grounds (Nyeri), Afraha Stadium (Nakuru), Moi Girls High School (Eldoret) and Jomo Kenyatta Grounds in Kisumu and all events start at 8am.
