An unidentified man wearing a white ‘kanzu’ visited Monica Kimani before the gruesome murder in Kilimani area in Nairobi County last week.

The man is said to have identified himself as pastor but didn't record his details at the gate with watchman for Lamuria Gardens apartments along Dennis Pritt Road in Kilimani.

Apart from a man in white Kanzu, Monica allegedly met two friends at her house on Wednesday night after returning from South Sudan where she was running family business. The two signed off as Owen and Joe, the Standard reports.

Conflicting details

Monica’s father Bishop Paul Ngarama divulged that the security guards manning the Limuria Garden Apartments where Ms Nyawira was found murdered were reluctant to let them in when they returned from the mortuary where they had taken the body of the deceased.

When the family enquired about a neighbour who had met Ms Nyawira and two men who visited her on the eve of the murder, security guards informed them that the neighbor had since moved.

However, the agent contradicted this account when the family called to confirm if the neighbor had indeed moved.

The agent whose number is listed informed the family that there is no vacant house on the block in which Nyawira lived, a clear indication that the he had not moved as claimed by the security guards.
