Was Sharon Otieno gang raped before the brutal murder?

Evidence retrieved by investigators indicate that Sharon Otieno, the Rongo university student abducted alongside Nation journalist Barrack Oduor, might have been gang raped before she was brutally murdered.

Detectives attached to the case disclosed that four used condoms were found next to her body, which was dumped at Kodera Forest, Homa Bay County.

"We found four used condoms and a pool of blood at the scene," the Standard quoted one of the investigator.

According to the local daily, police officers were hunting down three suspects believed to be behind the murder of Sharon.  The search has spread to Kayole area, Nairobi as officers believe some of the culprits could be hiding there.

Governor links

Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been mentioned vastly in the murder of Sharon as he allegedly had a sexual affair with the second-year student. Sharon was seven-months pregnant when she met her death.

Before the brutal murder, the 26-year-old had disclosed to the Nation journalist about her affair with the Governor.

It is said that Sharon mentioned that Mr. Obado had declined to take responsibility as the father of her unborn child.

However, the Migori county boss has since dismissed the allegations.

Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo has been arrested as he was the was the last person in contact with Sharon and the Nation journalist.
