Three journalists have been arrested for Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala’s photoshopped nudes, which have gone viral.

According to the Senator, the journalists David Ndolo, Stafford Ondego and Alex Njue who work for top media houses in the country had been asked by Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa to create the images.

Malala in a press conference said that during their arrest, the journalists’ phones and a laptop that was used to create the image were confiscated and there was evidence of their communication with CS Echesa.

“We arrested them at their homes and we found the calls and messages the CS sent them including my pictures telling them to photoshop and say that I was the one who was found in the compromising situation,” said the senator.

He went on say that after that, the journalists asked for payment for the job and the CS asked his driver to send the money to the journalists adding that they had messages of the transaction.

“The journalists are being held at KICC police station and they have agreed to address the media and say that they were sent by CS Echesa,” added Malala.

War of words

This comes as the Sports CS and the Kakamega Senator have been in a war of words for the past week, which has seen them disclose private details of each other’s life.

Their confrontation started when Echesa claimed that Malala was wrong to abuse DP William Ruto because he contributed money that helped him build his Sh7.5 million house and that he was the one who took him to the DP’s home in Eldoret.

Senator Malala strongly denied the claims saying that his house cost Sh40 million and also challenged the CS to build himself a house, instead of living in a rented house that is behind a shop.
