Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has filed and official complaint against Deputy President William Ruto with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
According to PS Kibicho, DP Ruto stands accused of harassment of his juniors based on a series of past events.
The PS had responded to summons concerning the alleged murder plot against Dr Ruto but instead, he used the opportunity to record his own accusations against the second-in-command.
"The PS was at the DCI headquarters last evening (Tuesday) from 7pm to record a statement on the past events. He was giving his version on the happenings and gave details of those who witnessed the same.
"He was not there to record a statement on the alleged La Mada Hotel meeting but to give details of what has transpired in the recent past with his boss," a source from within the DCI told Standard.
Source of controversial letter located in Karen, 2 arrested
DP Ruto and the PS have in the past clashed over what the DP termed as the CS undermining his authority and sabotaging the DP's meetings in Mt Kenya.
The DP, who is yet to record his statement on the alleged assassination ploy, accused PS Kibicho of convening the La Mada Hotel meeting where the plot is said to have been discussed.
Details emerged indicating that DP Ruto had refused to record his statement on the matter until DCI boss George Kinoti avails himself to take it.
Detectives have, however, proceeded to investigate a letter from the said meeting which was circulated online raising the DP's suspicions.
Two people have so far been arrested in Karen Estate at a cyber office where the letter was allegedly prepared.
