Miguna's warning to Kenyans after Kidero’s arrest

Kidero was arrested on Wednesday

Self-declared NRM General Miguna Miguna has sent a warning to Kenyans after the arrest of former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero.

Miguna said that he was pleased with Kidero’s arrest but it was meaningless because President Uhuru Kenyatta remains in power.

“I applaud the arrest of @KideroEvans for theft of public resources, money laundering, racketeering, bribery and conflict of interest - and the arraignment in court of a few of his errand boys and girls - but their arrests are meaningless until we remove the despots from power,” read Miguna Miguna’s tweet.

Miguna Miguna’s words came a few hours after detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission arrested the former Governor alongside seven others on the orders of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Kidero and his accomplices are facing charges over mismanagement and embezzlement of public funds.

“Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission received information concerning alleged criminal activities involving Nairobi City County Government officials touching on the mismanagement and embezzlement of Public funds,” tweeted the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions.

They are all expected to be arraigned in Court on Thursday.
