Raila arrives at JKIA to save Miguna

Just in

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) following the detention of self-declare NRM General Migna Miguna.

Mr. Odinga together with Siaya Senator James Orengo and other lawyers representing Miguna were at the airport to sort out issues with the Immigration officers who have detained the politician for over 8 hours now.

"I am very happy that Raila Odinga is here. We have to criticize people, we have to criticize ourselves, we have to be reflective and introspective..." Miguna said.

When Miguna landed in the country at around 2 pm he was held up at the immigration office because he does not have a Kenyan passport. He was asked to surrender his Canadian passport then apply for a Visa but he refused.

A fiery Miguna spoke to journalists through a small opening of a door stating that he will neither relent nor cower to the Immigrations demands.

“They will not stop me even with guns,” he said.

The Canadian-based lawyer insisted that the Immigrations officers had disobeyed court orders instructing he be allowed back into the country.

He further alleged that there were plans to forcefully take him to Dubai.

"They want to take me to Dubai.... I am not going, they say they want to remove me by force but they would have to kill me first. I am a Kenyan by birth....," he said.

At the time of reporting, Miguna's agitated supporters were still at the JKIA demanding his release.
